{"id":12608,"date":"2021-10-25T10:00:29","date_gmt":"2021-10-25T15:00:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/backup.primeaction.com\/sp\/?p=12608"},"modified":"2021-10-21T20:11:48","modified_gmt":"2021-10-22T01:11:48","slug":"revelan-sensor-de-glucosa-para-medir-azucar-en-sangre-sin-pinchazos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/backup.primeaction.com\/sp\/revelan-sensor-de-glucosa-para-medir-azucar-en-sangre-sin-pinchazos\/","title":{"rendered":"Revelan sensor de glucosa para medir az\u00facar en sangre sin pinchazos"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-src=\"https:\/\/cdn.forbes.com.mx\/2021\/04\/insulina-diabetes-unsplash-scaled-e1618427980180-640x360.jpg\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium lazyload\" \/><noscript><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.forbes.com.mx\/2021\/04\/insulina-diabetes-unsplash-scaled-e1618427980180-640x360.jpg\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium\" \/><\/noscript><\/p>\n<p>Un nuevo sensor de glucosa o dispositivo port\u00e1til para medir el az\u00facar en sangre tan utilizado por pacientes diab\u00e9ticos y considerado el sistema de monitorizaci\u00f3n menos intrusivo a la fecha fue revelado recientemente por investigadores del campus University Park, de la universidad Penn State, en Estados Unidos.<\/p>\n<p>Los investigadores dieron a conocer los detalles del sensor no invasivo y de bajo costo que puede detectar glucosa en el sudor a trav\u00e9s de biosensores y bioelectr\u00f3nica.<\/p>\n<p>El desarrollo del sensor de glucosa fue dirigido por el doctor Huanyu Cheng, y Dorothy Quiggle, del Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda, Ciencia y Mec\u00e1nica de Penn State.<\/p>\n<p>Los investigadores construyeron el dispositivo primero con grafeno inducido por l\u00e1ser (LIG), un material que consta de capas de carbono de un \u00e1tomo de espesor en varias formas.<\/p>\n<p>El grafeno del sensor de glucosa, posee una alta conductividad el\u00e9ctrica y un tiempo de fabricaci\u00f3n conveniente de solo segundos.<\/p>\n<p>No obstante, el equipo finalmente eligi\u00f3 el n\u00edquel debido a su s\u00f3lida sensibilidad a la glucosa, seg\u00fan el profesor Cheng, quien lo combin\u00f3 con oro para reducir los riesgos potenciales de una reacci\u00f3n al\u00e9rgica.<\/p>\n<p>Los investigadores plantearon la hip\u00f3tesis de que el LIG equipado con la aleaci\u00f3n de n\u00edquel-oro ser\u00eda capaz de detectar concentraciones bajas de glucosa en el sudor de la superficie de la piel.<\/p>\n<p>Un sensor de glucosa como ning\u00fan otro<\/p>\n<p>Si bien la concentraci\u00f3n de glucosa en el sudor es aproximadamente 100 veces menor que la concentraci\u00f3n en sangre, el sensor de glucosa de Penn State es lo suficientemente sensible como para medir con precisi\u00f3n su concentraci\u00f3n en el sudor y en sangre.<\/p>\n<p>La sensibilidad de la aleaci\u00f3n de n\u00edquel-oro permiti\u00f3 al equipo de Cheng excluir las enzimas, que a menudo se utilizan para medir la glucosa en dispositivos m\u00e1s invasivos disponibles comercialmente.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUn sensor enzim\u00e1tico debe mantenerse a una cierta temperatura y pH, y la enzima no se puede almacenar a largo plazo\u201d, dice Cheng.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUn sensor de glucosa no enzim\u00e1tico (como este caso), es ventajoso en t\u00e9rminos de rendimiento estable y sensibilidad a la glucosa independientemente de estos cambios\u201d, a\u00f1ade el cient\u00edfico.<\/p>\n<p>Los sensores no enzim\u00e1ticos requieren una soluci\u00f3n alcalina, que puede da\u00f1ar la piel y, por lo general, limita la capacidad de uso del dispositivo. Para solucionar este problema, Cheng y su equipo conectaron una c\u00e1mara de microflu\u00eddos a la aleaci\u00f3n LIG.<\/p>\n<p>Dicha c\u00e1mara es porosa para permitir un rango de movimiento, como estiramiento o aplastamiento y est\u00e1 conectada a una entrada de recolecci\u00f3n que hace pasar el sudor a la soluci\u00f3n sin permitir que \u00e9sta toque la piel.<\/p>\n<p>La soluci\u00f3n b\u00e1sica interact\u00faa con las mol\u00e9culas de glucosa para producir un compuesto que reacciona con la aleaci\u00f3n. Esta reacci\u00f3n desencadena una se\u00f1al el\u00e9ctrica que indica la concentraci\u00f3n de glucosa en el sudor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCon la c\u00e1mara de soluci\u00f3n alcalina m\u00e1s peque\u00f1a, todo el dispositivo tiene aproximadamente el tama\u00f1o de una moneda y es lo suficientemente flexible como para mantener un apego seguro al cuerpo humano\u201d, sostiene Cheng.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cQueremos trabajar con m\u00e9dicos y otros proveedores de atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica para ver c\u00f3mo podemos aplicar esta tecnolog\u00eda para el monitoreo diario de un paciente\u201d, dijo Cheng.<\/p>\n<p>En el mismo sentido, a\u00f1ade que \u201ceste sensor de glucosa sirve como un ejemplo fundamental para demostrar que podemos mejorar la detecci\u00f3n de
