Las computadoras cl\u00e1sicas funcionan usando \u00abbits\u00bb que deben emplear un 1 o un 0, pero los \u00abqubits\u00bb pueden utilizar un 1 y un 0 simult\u00e1neamente.<\/p>\n<p>Ese hecho podr\u00eda alg\u00fan d\u00eda hacer que las computadoras cu\u00e1nticas sean mucho m\u00e1s r\u00e1pidas que sus contrapartes cl\u00e1sicas, si bien los \u00abqubits\u00bb son extremadamente dif\u00edciles de desarrollar y requieren enormes refrigeradores criog\u00e9nicos para funcionar de manera correcta.<\/p>\n<p>Mientras que el \u00faltimo chip de Apple Inc, el M1 Max, tiene 57,000 millones de transistores, un nivel aproximado de bits, IBM dice que su nuevo chip Eagle es el primero en contar con m\u00e1s de 100 \u00abqubits\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>IBM dijo que las nuevas t\u00e9cnicas que aprendi\u00f3 en el desarrollo del chip, que se fabrica en sus instalaciones en el estado de Nueva York, eventualmente producir\u00e1n m\u00e1s \u00abqubits\u00bb cuando se combinen con otros avances en los sistemas de control y refrigeraci\u00f3n de computadores cu\u00e1nticos.<\/p>\n<p>La compa\u00f1\u00eda dijo el lunes que planea un desarrollar un chip \u00abOsprey\u00bb en 2022 con 433 \u00abqubits\u00bb y un chip \u00abCondor\u00bb de 1.121 \u00abqubits\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Actualmente, la compa\u00f1\u00eda estadounidense dice que est\u00e1 cerca de lo que se denomina \u00abventaja cu\u00e1ntica\u00bb, el punto en el que las computadoras cu\u00e1nticas pueden vencer a los computadores cl\u00e1sicos.<\/p>\n<p>Dario Gil, vicepresidente senior de IBM y jefe de su divisi\u00f3n de desarrollo, dijo que eso no significa que las computadoras cu\u00e1nticas superar\u00e1n a sus pares tradicionales casi simult\u00e1neamente.<\/p>\n<p>Lo que IBM imagina es un mundo en el que algunos segmentos de una aplicaci\u00f3n inform\u00e1tica se ejecuten en chips tradicionales y otros en chips cu\u00e1nticos, seg\u00fan lo que funcione mejor para cada tarea.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abCreemos que podremos lograr una evidencia de ventaja cu\u00e1ntica, algo que puede tener un valor pr\u00e1ctico, en los pr\u00f3ximos a\u00f1os.
