En este caso el Imperial Concept era un veh\u00edculo considerablemente m\u00e1s grande en todo aspecto con medidas de 5.4 metros de largo, 1.9 metros de ancho y 1.6 metros de alto. Hablamos de que era tan alto como un SUV Compacto de nuestros d\u00edas.<\/p>\n<p>Su dise\u00f1o era bastante cuadrado y gracias al gran uso de cromo y algunas formas en su silueta no pod\u00edamos evitar pensar en alguna de las marcas m\u00e1s lujosas de Reino Unido al verlo. Principalmente pensar en Rolls-Royce o en algunos Bentley de anta\u00f1o. Y es que al final del d\u00eda lo que buscaba Chrysler era imponer y rendir homenaje tambi\u00e9n a esos dise\u00f1os que derrochaban presencia y prestigio en sus modelos antiguos.<\/p>\n<p>Chrysler no tard\u00f3 en comentar que para desarrollar este concepto tomaron algunos de los detalles m\u00e1s caracter\u00edsticos de varios modelos antiguos del Imperial, especialmente de los que reinaron las calles entre 1930 y 1950. Todo eso mezclado con ciertos elementos futuristas como los faros y calaveras LED, que para 2006, a\u00fan eran una novedad reservada para las puntas de lanza de marcas de lujo en esos d\u00edas.<\/p>\n<p>El Imperial Concept se present\u00f3 con una carrocer\u00eda de color caf\u00e9 y unos rines gigantescos de 22&#8243;, algo que vemos actualmente, pero s\u00f3lo en algunos SUV medianos o full size. Hab\u00eda una gran presencia de elementos cromados como buen veh\u00edculo estadounidense, pero tambi\u00e9n una silueta simple y elegante.<\/p>\n<p>Minimalista y futurista<\/p>\n<p>Su interior tampoco era algo com\u00fan, pues Chrysler se esforz\u00f3 en crear un dise\u00f1o algo minimalista con toques futuristas, por ejemplo a comparaci\u00f3n de modelos de la \u00e9poca, este Imperial limitada el n\u00famero de botones en el interior, usaba mezclas de materiales lujosos como la madera y la piel, con otros de aspecto met\u00e1lico para contrastar. Incluso se atrevieron a experimentar con iluminaci\u00f3n ambiental.<\/p>\n<p>Si bien es un veh\u00edculo con el lujo como prioridad, la marca aseguraba que tambi\u00e9n ser\u00eda un auto para conductores, es decir, que el due\u00f1o podr\u00eda disfrutar tambi\u00e9n de conducirlo y no solamente de ser llevado en \u00e9l en la parte trasera. Gracias a esto \u00faltimo, es que tambi\u00e9n hay poca presencia de botones al frente, para evitar distraer al conductor.<\/p>\n<p>La parte trasera estaba reservada solamente para dos personas y pod\u00eda contar con asientos reclinables, pantallas en la parte trasera de los asientos delanteros y varias otras opciones de comodidad, en caso de quererlo usar como un veh\u00edculo para simplemente ser llevado por nuestro chofer.<\/p>\n<p>Un gran V8 para impulsarlo<\/p>\n<p>Hablando de mec\u00e1nica, el Chrysler Imperial Concept 2006 era completamente funcional, pues al usar la plataforma del Chrysler 300C no habr\u00eda hecho falta mucho para poderlo terminar de adaptar y producir. Ademas contaba con un motor HEMI aspirado V8 de 5.7 litros capaz de producir 340 hp y 390 lb-pie de par, se acoplaba a una caja autom\u00e1tica de 5 cambios que llevaba el poder solamente al eje trasero.<\/p>\n<p>La idea no era mala, pues a\u00fan en 2006 los sedanes segu\u00edan siendo algo populares, a pesar de que los SUV comenzaban a ganar terreno r\u00e1pidamente. Desafortunadamente para el momento de su desarrollo la relaci\u00f3n entre Daimler y Chrysler no se encontraba en su mejor momento, por lo que no era especialmente alentador tomar un riesgo en
