Y es que el dueto brit\u00e1nico se encuentra inmerso en el desarrollo de su pr\u00f3xima generaci\u00f3n de coches el\u00e9ctricos, en estos momentos se encuentran buscando alternativas al aluminio mediante compuestos m\u00e1s ligeros que sirvan para aligerar todo el conjunto, redundando en una ventaja tanto din\u00e1mica como energ\u00e9tica.<\/p>\n<p>En base a ello han anunciado un plan que han llamado Project Tuana. Se trata de un programa que se prologar\u00e1 durante cuatro a\u00f1os, y mediante el que pretenden convertir al Reino Unido en un l\u00edder mundial en tecnolog\u00edas de bajas emisiones. Gracias a ello podr\u00e1n ahorrar 4,5 millones de toneladas de emisiones de CO2 entre los a\u00f1os 2023 y 2032 acelerando el uso generalizado de coches el\u00e9ctricos y haciendo que estos sean m\u00e1s ligeros.<\/p>\n<p>El objetivo del consorcio brit\u00e1nico pasa por aumentar la rigidez estructural de los coches en desarrollo en torno a un 30 por ciento con respecto a sus modelos actuales, hecho que implica aumentar la seguridad pasiva en caso de siniestros. Por otro lado y a la vez que pretenden hacer m\u00e1s r\u00edgidas sus estructuras, pretenden tambi\u00e9n reducir el peso de la propia estructura en 35 kilos, lo que permitir\u00e1 implementar paquetes de bater\u00edas ligeramente m\u00e1s capaces para aumentar as\u00ed el rango de uso de los coches el\u00e9ctricos en cuesti\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>La fibra de carbono est\u00e1 llamada a desempe\u00f1ar un papel clave en todo esto, y en los esquemas que ha revelado Jaguar-Land Rover en su comunicado se aprecia el uso intensivo de la misma en toda la secci\u00f3n posterior de la estructura, as\u00ed como tambi\u00e9n fibra de vidrio en las zonas de menor flexi\u00f3n, ya que aunque sea un material que pueda llegar a costar incluso diez veces menos que la fibra de carbono, tambi\u00e9n resulta menos r\u00edgida que esta.<\/p>\n<p>Comenta Markus Henry, Responsable de Investigaci\u00f3n de Jaguar-Land Rover: \u00abEste proyecto permitir\u00e1 que las verdaderas credenciales ambientales de los veh\u00edculos el\u00e9ctricos se hagan realidad al permitir una adopci\u00f3n m\u00e1s amplia de la tecnolog\u00eda y impulsar a Jaguar Land Rover y la cadena de suministro del Reino Unido a una posici\u00f3n l\u00edder mundial en tecnolog\u00eda de bajas emisiones de carbono.\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Ambas firmas esperan que para el pr\u00f3ximo 2022 puedan haber puesto en circulaci\u00f3n m\u00faltiples prototipos basados en las plataformas resultantes del Proyecto Tucana para probar su desempe\u00f1o en carretera antes de empezar a desarrollar los modelos de calle basados en plataformas con esta tecnolog\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p>Los \u00faltimos lanzamientos de Jaguar-Land Rover que han tenido lugar entre la actualidad del sector fue por parte de Jaguar la presentaci\u00f3n del E-Pace y por parte de Land Rover la presentaci\u00f3n de las versiones h\u00edbridas enchufalbles de los Range Rover Evoque y Land Rover Defender. En el campo de los coches puramente el\u00e9ctricos deber\u00edamos estar a punto de ver la versi\u00f3n reestilizada del el\u00e9ctrico de Jaguar, el I-Pace, cuyas im\u00e1genes se filtraron hace semanas a trav\u00e9s de la oficina de patentes revelando ligeros cambios est\u00e9ticos que podr\u00edan venir de la mano de mejoras en su esquema
